I was born in Oregon, and have been a resident of Clackamas County since 1966. But I have also spent enough time outside of Oregon - traveling throughout the US, Canada, and Europe - to truly appreciate what we have right here. I have spent a large part of my life trying to make Clackamas County a better place to live, work, and play.

Now I want to do it full time - and I'll need your help. Unfortunately, the Commission elected to be paid full time (like Multnomah County), instead of part time (like Washington County). Is this more successfull? Probably not; but it certainly attracts professional politicians to the race. Don't get me wrong - we need politicians in the Commission - but with 5 openings, we can also afford to have hands on Commissioners as well.
