Crater Lake

Crater Lake became a national Park on May 22, 1902. Crater Lake is five miles wide and was formed when Mount Mazama erupted and collapsed onto itself and later filled with snow and rain. Crater Lake is over 1900 feet deep and is the deepest lake in the United States. The Crater Lake Screensaver is a "slide show" consisting of 63 images with special transition effects between each image. The pictures contained in the screensaver are a mixture of summer and winter pictures, and show Crater Lake, Wizard Island, Crater Lake Lodge, the Visitor Center, and surrounding scenery.
